Official celebrations
Official celebrations to mark the 90th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen take place up and down the country this weekend. Queen Elizabeth will be included in prayers at our 9.30am on Sunday morning, and the outgoing voluntary will be William Walton’s Crown Imperial written especially for her Coronation in 1953. Choral Evensong on 19th June will include an anthem sung at the same service.

Friday 10th June: A National Service of Thankgiving in St Paul’s Cathedral broadcast on BBC1 from 9.3oam. More
Saturday 11th June: The Queen’s Birthday Parade; Trooping the Colour.
Sunday 12th June; The Patron’s Lunch in the Mall.
A souvenir tribute for the Queen’s 90th birthday has been published by the Bible Society. Hope Publishing and the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity. The Servant Queen and the King she serves is an illustrated booklet which focusses on her Christian faith. Free copies may be ordered from the Bible Society website.
