Church Wardens

Licensed Lay Minister

Canon Judy Anderson

A key figure in the life of St John’s is Canon Judy Anderson, our Licensed Lay Minister and Parish Administrator. On Sundays Judy is often elsewhere in the Valley taking services.  From time to time she leads services and preaches at St John’s, where she regularly leads intercessions. During the week she works behind the scenes as our part-time Administrator. This is a varied role which includes leading the work of the Parish Office,  keeping the church diary and many other aspects of running a busy country parish Church.

Further afield, in the Diocese of Salisbury she is the Associate Warden of Licensed Lay Ministers (LLMs), working with the Bishop of Sherborne to look after the LLMs of the diocese. She is a member of the diocesan Mission and Ministry Committee as well as the Lay Ministry Support Group and the LLM Development Group.  She is a Lay Canon of Salisbury Cathedral.

On top of all this she has recently completed an MA in Christian Liturgy at Sarum College.
