Women at War

Harvest Festival & Lunch

Sunday 6th October: 1115

Come, ye thankful people, come raise the song of harvest home.

11.15am: Family Communion.
Celebrant: The Revd Juliette Hulme.

Come and celebrate Harvest and join in the singing of favourite seasonal hymns such as ‘We plough the fields and scatter’.  The service is at the later time of 11.15am; there’s no service at 9.30am. Donations of non-perishable goods will be gratefully accepted. Many like to bring gifts up to the altar  at Harvest-tide and these will be donated to the Trussell Trust; see below for some suggestions of  non-perishable goods.

Harvest Lunch in the Hinton Hall.
We invite you to a Bring and Share lunch at the Hinton Hall at 1230. There will be a list of suggestions in church that you could bring for the lunch or just bring your favourite dish. Drinks are provided. Do come and join us.

Preparing the church.

If you would like to bring flowers, fruit or vegetables to decorate the church please bring them to Hinton Hall on Friday morning 4th October,  or to St John’s on Saturday 5th when we will be decorating the Church from 9.30am.

Many people like to bring Harvest gifts up to the altar in church and the Trussell Trust has great need of staple foods. They would really welcome donations of non-perishable goods such as cereal, soup, pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes/pasta sauce, lentils, beans and pulses, tinned meat, tinned fruit and vegetables, tea/coffee, biscuits, UHT milk and fruit juice, sugar, sponge puddings, small chocolate treats, baby foods, personal hygiene products and toiletries etc.
