The Porch awaits new glass doors
Work on the north porch is nearly complete! New illuminated noticeboards have now been added along with uplighting. St John’s Development Committee has announced extensive plans for further work inside and outside the church. There will be a launch of an appeal on Saturday 17th September 17th; a further £220,000 needs to be raised.

So far, the refurbishment of the north porch has comprised the removal of a step, new stone flooring which replaced very worn flagstones, and reconditioned wrought-iron gates. New glass doors will be installed soon to be positioned halfway along the porch. All this work has been made possible through a generous anonymous donation.
On Saturday September 17th at 4pm , there will be a Choral Evensong and blessing of the north porch, followed by a presentation to launch the Development Appeal for other work in and around the church.
