BAND ‘PUTS THE BOOT INN’
Sunday 14th August 3pm onwards
Our church band is well used to playing in the hallowed spaces of St John’s Tisbury and even Salisbury Cathedral (pictured) but next Sunday 14th August, our splendid ensemble breaks new ground. Not so much “putting on the Ritz” as “putting the Boot Inn, our splendid ensemble has been invited to play at a ticket-only celebration in the Boot Inn in Tisbury (below) to mark the 40th anniversary of Ron and Ruth taking over as landlords.
Tickets (£5) need to be purchased in advance from the Boot Inn.
They’ll be providing music for the afternoon which includes a 1940’s Tea Dance – do dress accordingly – home-made cakes and cream teas. The bar will be open and there will be a raffle too. Proceeds go to The Boot’s chosen charity – “Lucy’s Days Out.” The Boot Inn has an important role as a “vestry” for our church musicians after weeknight rehearsals.
