Mozart in lockdown
‘Ave verum’ sung by the choir
While we eagerly await the return of our church services and also in due course of the opportunity for us all to sing, St John’s Church Choir has recorded a favourite communion motet in lockdown. Mozart’s ‘Ave verum corpus’ (Hail true body) has been recorded by members of the choir in their own homes and pieced together to make this short video with shots filmed in St John’s in March before the Covid19 lockdown came into effect – a reminder of the tranquility of this ancient building.
