Cycle ride to Iona

Jo’s done it!

One of our clergy, the Revd Jo Naish has made it to the historic island of Iona in Western Scotland by pedal power. Her bicycle ride was a distance of around 600 miles. She has raised around £5000 for “Go the extra mile”; a campaign organised by the Salisbury Diocese Mothers’ Union. A range of projects are being supported, including relief holidays for families in need and help for the women’s refuge in Salisbury. As well as her local role as an associate priest, Jo is also Diocesan Chaplain to the Mothers’ Union.

Congratulations JO – her Jo online sponsorship page is still open here

Jo’s destination; the ancient abbey on the island of Iona founded by St Columba, and spiritual home of the Iona community.
