Christingle & Blessing of Christmas Tree
Sunday 18th December 2016: 3.30pm
Come along on Sunday afternoon at 3.30pm and join in an informal Advent festival of light with special ‘Christingles’ made from oranges studded with sweets and a candle for each family to take home.
The orange represents the world; the red ribbon around it the blood of Jesus; the sweets are symbols of God’s creation; and the candle shows the light and hope Jesus brings into the world. During the service the Christmas Tree will also be blessed and its lights turned on.
The service is in aid of the Children’s Society.
