The Village Carol Service
Monday 18th December: 7.30pm
This popular candlelit service is a celebration in words and music of the much-loved Christmas story. Through a sequence of readings we hear of the foretelling of Jesus’s birth, the story of the birth itself, and the visits of the shepherds and the wise men. The music includes choral works by Vivaldi, and the contemporary Scottish composer James MacMillan. We’ll be singing some favourite carols from Once in royal David’s city and Silent Night, to O come all ye faithful and Hark the herald angels sing.
Do come – Monday 18th December at 7.30pm. You will be very welcome.
