The Community Carol Service
Monday 16th December: 7.30pm
This popular candlelit service is a celebration in words and music of the much-loved Christmas story. Through a sequence of readings we hear of Adam and Eve’s encounter in the Garden of Eden, the foretelling of Jesus’s birth, the story of the birth itself, and the visits of the shepherds and the wise men. The readings are interspersed with carols old and new. Among the new are carols by Sir James MacMillan, Malcolm Archer and John Rutter. Do come and join in some favourites including Once in royal David’s city and Away in a manger and Hark the herald angels sing.
Monday 16th December at 7.30pm – please be seated by 7.25pm. You will be very welcome.
Following the service, mulled wine and mince pies will be served in the Hinton Hall.
