St. John’s Primary School, Tisbury, is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled School within the Diocese of Salisbury. The school has strong links with St John’s Church. Canon Judy Anderson is a Foundation Governors and leads Collective Worship regularly at the school, as well as being involved in other ways. During the Vacancy in the Upper Nadder Benefice, Ian Campbell is interim ex-officio governor. The children enjoy regular sessions called Open the Book, presented by members of St John’s Church.
School services take place at the church throughout the year, at Christmas, Easter and Harvest, led by the children. A special service is held at the end of the school year for the Year 6 children who are about to leave and go on to secondary school.
