A choral concert with The Music Makers of London,
Saturday 19th October 2019, 7.30pm in St John’s Church Tisbury.
The Music Makers is a mixed voice chamber choir specialising in unaccompanied music. As a charity with the remit of extending an understanding of music, the Music Makers have undertaken a number of projects with different communities, including invitations to work with trainee conductors at the Royal Academy of Music, funding a young choral scholar to sing with the choir each year, and sponsoring three composition competitions to support the new music-making.
The concert programme is on the theme of ‘Sun, Moon and Stars’, and includes

Whitacre The Moon is in her Hair
Whitacre Sainte-Chapelle
Saint-Saens Calme des Nuits
And some lighter pieces to fit with the theme – Blue Moon and Moon River
