Mothering Sunday
Sunday 30th March: 0930 BST
Sunday 30th March is Mothering Sunday and at 0930 BST (clocks go forward the night before; i.e., 1 hour less in bed!) we will be holding a special Parish Communion service to celebrate our mothers and all others who care. The celebrant is the Revd Michael Camp and there will be appropriate hymns and music including “Ave Maria” by Jacob Arcadelt.
Mothering Sunday occurs on the fourth Sunday in Lent. It is also known as Refreshment or Laetare Sunday because those fasting during Lent are allowed to break for that day.
