We are sorry to convey news of the death of “Hank” (Derek Harvey) Bowen, seen here painting a few days before he died. Along with his late wife Juliet, Hank was an active and supportive member of the church congregation. For many years he was Chairman of the committees running the Hinton Hall and Focus magazine. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday 30th September at 2.30pm. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family.
As part of redevelopment plans in the church, the Bowen family is financing the relocation of a stained-glass window in memory of Juliet. More

Hank died on Thursday (20th July) just after 4pm to be reunited with his precious Juliet. His end came very suddenly after a typically stoic and quiet battle with lung cancer that lasted two years, but only troubled him greatly in the final couple of months. His last few hours at home were very peaceful, peppered with visits from family, dear local friends and phone calls with loved ones further afield. The family thanks all who supported them in the last few weeks. He will be much missed.
