The Summer Fete 2017

A great time was had by all at the Summer Fete on Saturday 24th June with £4,800 approx. raised for church funds. A big thank you to all who came along, and to everyone who volunteered time and talent to make this event such a success.  Scroll down for plenty of pictures from the day. During the afternoon there were two “Coronations” – organised by the village Carnival Committee – that of the Glamorous Granny and The Royals.

St John’s School held a painting competition. The mission accepted by many was to paint or draw pictures of St John’s Church where all entries were exhibited. Congratulations to the following: in the Junior section, the winner was nine year old Nicole R. Oliver E, Joel and Emily J were highly commended by the judge. The Infant category was won by five year old Tyler L with Jacky and Otto being highly commended.
