On the 25th and 26th July we had a fantastic time at ‘Kings, Queens and Giants!’, a Summer workshop for children aged 3-12.

We were learning about King David the Shepherd King, who fought Goliath in God’s Strength; King Solomon the Wise King who listened to God and the Queen of Sheba, who travelled for hundreds of miles across Africa with all her wealth as a gift just to hear from God through King Solomon.

We did this through stories, crafts, games and activities. We learnt how to slingshot water balloons with old sackcloth, we painted rocks, decorated treasure boxes, played paper airplane golf, made jewelled crowns and completed a nature challenge to make another crown with only what we could find in the church yard!

We learnt that talking to God is not hard and different people can talk to him and hear from Him in different ways, we learnt how to listen to God through pictures, and how to talk to him with prayer beads.
