Mothering Sunday

Sunday 10th March is Mothering Sunday and at 0930  we will be holding a special Parish Communion service to celebrate our mothers and all others who care.  The celebrant is the Revd Juliette Hulme and there will be appropriate hymns and music including “Ave Maria” by Jacob Arcadelt. There will be hand-made posies to give to our loved ones.

Mothering Sunday occurs on the fourth Sunday in Lent. It is also known as Refreshment Sunday because those observing fasting during Lent can be broken on that day.
