Farewell Graham
Rector moves to pastures new
After more than twelve years as Team Rector in the Nadder Valley Benefice, the Revd Dr Graham Southgate led his last service at Fovant Parish Church on December 31st. Graham was installed as Parish Priest of the Benefice of Upper Stour and Maiden Bradley in a joyful service at St George’s Church, Bourton, on 25th January, led by the Rt Revd Andrew Rumsey, Bishop of Ramsbury, and the Ven Alan Jeans, Archdeacon of Sarum.
Having trained initially as a biologist, Graham gained a Doctorate in the subject from the NE Surrey College of Technology. He then trained for the priesthood at Ripon College Cuddesdon, and took up his first clerical appointment as curate in the Tisbury Benefice (as it was then known) from 1993 until 1997. He subsequently served livings in the Chalke Valley and at Edington Priory Church before returning to the Nadder Valley Benefice as Rector in 2011.
We wish him well!
